Postiguet beach or ‘El Postiguet’ is beautifully situated north, near the port of Alicante city, Spain. It is next to the breakwater of Levante.

This beach, which is just in the centre of town at the foot of Santa Barbara castle, was named after a little blind door that let people have access to it. It is surrounded by a  seaside boulevard full of palm trees with an area of golden sand and quiet sea. It is also an important symbol for people from Alicante and it is mentioned in some popular songs. One of the most famous ones is ‘La manta al coll’.
